Application Stress describes the degree of stresses placed on the tire during its normal operation. A tire that is constantly stopping and starting and twisting and turning would have a high degree of application stress.
Surface Aggression describes the conditions of the roads on which the tires roll. Tires that travel on unpaved roads or rocky areas experience a high degree of surface aggression.
